4 Weight Loss Vitamin Supplements

Weight loss vitamin supplements can boost the effects of diet and exercise. Adding natural nutritional supplements to a weight loss strategy can help curb appetite and facilitate weight loss. If your rate of weight loss is slow or you’re just not losing at all, correcting nutritional deficits can help get rid of stubborn fat.

4 Favorite Weight Loss Vitamin Supplements

        1. MCT OIL 

Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT) is a healthy fat found in coconut oil. MCT helps aid in weight loss. As a weight loss vitamin supplement, MCT increases fat and calorie burning (for men 460 calories and women 190 calories). Like the ketogenic diet, it can also help control appetite.

Add coconut or MCT oil to your diet. Initially, start with a tsp. and build up to 2-4 TBSP. a day as a weight loss vitamin supplement aid. This will help to avoid stomach upset. Coconut oil has been known to help support thyroid function, the skin, immune system and much, much, more.

  1. L-CARNITINE

Carnitine is an amino acid that transports fat to the mitochondria in cells. So the fat is burned for energy. Therefore, it too is a weight loss vitamin supplement that can help you lose weight. L-carnitine is naturally found in meat.

Carnitine is a weight loss vitamin that also helps deliver oxygen to the heart and every muscle in the body. Use a  1/4-3/4 of a teaspoon on an empty stomach. In addition to weight loss, Carnitine can help muscles recover after exercise. Consider it valuable when using the double edge sword tip from my last blog.

This weight loss vitamin can interact with prescription medications. It may not be a suitable option if you take valproic acid, accutaine or thyroid medication.  If you have a medical condition, speak with your doctor before taking any weight loss vitamin supplements.

     3. VITAMIN Q 

Vitamin Q is also known as Ubiquinol, or COQ10. It is an enzyme, powerful anti-oxidant and another must in your weight loss vitamin supplement protocol.

Vitamin Q is involved in boosting cellular metabolism. It boosts energy while ensuring your metabolism is functioning efficiently. Take 30-100 mg with a meal.

Medications helping to control diabetes or heart disease depletes vitamin Q. Therefore, you may need more if you are taking these prescription medicines.

Side effects caused by vitamin Q are rare; but can include headache, fatigue, and irritability.  Vitamin Q can be used to lower the dose of blood pressure medication and insulin. Furthermore, it may decrease the body’s response to blood thinners. 

  1. L-ARGININE

Arginine is an amino acid shown to assist in fat loss and muscle preservation. Maintaining muscle and losing fat is the goal of weight loss. More muscle burns more calories. This makes arginine a valuable asset as a weight loss vitamin supplement.

According to The Townsend Newsletter, “The muscle mass of an individual determines 40% of his or her insulin sensitivity and 70% to 90% of blood glucose clearance.” Blood sugar and Lower insulin sensitivity is related to unexplained weight gain. Blood sugar swings can affect appetite.

Taking arginine as a weight loss vitamin supplement to support blood sugar and insulin sensitivity is another way to successfully lose and maintain weight. 

I DO NOT SUGGEST YOU TAKE ARGININE WITHOUT CONSULTING WITH YOUR PHYSICIAN.  There can be serious side effects. If you get doctor approval, this may do wonders to supplement diet and exercise.

Diet, Exercise and Weight Loss Vitamin Supplements

The Townsend Newsletter also states, “Low-calorie diets deplete muscle tissue, significantly reduce metabolic rate, and create a progressive resistance to further weight loss after each month”.  This is the exact opposite of what you want to accomplish when trying to lose weight.

Unlike a low-calorie diet, research has found that a ketogenic diet preserves muscle. A weight loss and exercise plan that includes supplements will support better results.  

Always check with your doctor before using weight loss vitamin or any supplements. Although supplements are natural they interact with medications and other supplements. There is a chance for allergic reactions too.

Weight Loss Vitamin Supplements can be a worthwhile addition to diet and exercise. Supplements can specifically work to increase metabolism, burn fat and control appetite. The benefits can provide a weight loss advantage and help you shape up and strip down to your goal weight.
