Sitting on the Low Carb Fence?

This story is inspired by a patient who came to The Center for Balanced Health. I want to thank her because she made me realize why I use low carbohydrate nutrition as a tool to help people. She is a vegan who did not want to undergo a conventional cancer treatment and wanted another option.  She is thin but gains a few pounds over the winter and gets strict with her diet around this time of year to shed them. Please understand this blog is NOT about cancer. No one should take their health into their own hands and forego treatments for diet. It is important to be involved with your doctor in your health care decisions. This blog is about how brainwashed we are. Brainwashed into thinking that cutting fat from what we eat is the only way to attain good health and achieve a goal weight.   Here it is:
There are so many reasons to follow a low carbohydrate diet.  The thing is you have to realize that it is healthier and much more filling.  It is healthier because The “Stubborn Fat Fix” is a whole food, fiber based nutrition plan that is very low in carbohydrates because the bulk of carbohydrates come from a minimum of five servings of fiber rich fruits and vegetables. This eating approach includes all food groups and allows room for “indulgences.” Indulgences include foods like wine and chocolate.
I have spoken to so many people especially women who “diet” and feel they have to be hungry to fit into their summer gear. People do not dare increase fat because it goes against everything they have been taught.
Then because of a health problem they visit us at, http://www.centerforbalancedhealth.com/.  They start the nutrition plan and boom cannot believe how the weight melts off while improving their health. I was told that the best feeling is the “emotional freedom” gained from not having to feel deprived. I agree.
