What is the Relation Between Mercury and High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS)?

Pharmaceutical companies that make immunizations and fatty fish may not be the only contributing culprits in mysterious neurological disorders. It seems mercury tainted food is being consumed in large quantities for at least the last five years. High fructose corn syrup, an additive in almost every commercially prepared product available, was found to contain Mercury.
Thank you Christopher Gavigan! Thanks for the life-saving information you provide in, “Parents! Mercury Contamination Found in High Fructose Corn Syrup.”
Here’s something you do not want to miss folks, http://www.huffingtonpost.com/christopher-gavigan/parents-mercury-contamina_b_160984.html. I actually was surprised for about a minute until I realized that nothing surprises me anymore. If you do not have time to go to the site, here is a quick highlight:
1. For the last 5 years, the FDA has had knowledge that HFCS is contaminated with mercury
2. “Mercury is an extremely potent neurotoxin that can cause permanent damage to a developing brain at exquisitely low levels. It can also impact the immune system, cardiovascular system, and other organs. Methylmercury is monitored in fish, but currently no other food products are regulated for any type of mercury contamination.”
3. David Wallinga, M.D., stated that high fructose corn syrup is consumed in large quantities by children and foods containing HFCS should be considered a potential significant additional source of mercury.
4. Two studies were published that should make us all shake in our boots.
One published by Environmental Health found mercury in nearly 50 percent of tested     samples of commercial high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), http://www.ehjournal.net/content/pdf/1476-069x-8-2.pdf.
The second report was conducted by the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy (IATP). It found that mercury was present in nearly one-third of 55 popular brand-name food and beverage products where HFCS is the first or second highest labeled ingredient–including products by Quaker, Hershey’s, Kraft and Smucker’s, http://www.iatp.org/iatp/publications.cfm?accountID=421&refID=105026.
What more can I say?
