2010 Dietary Advisory Guidelines

The Dietary Advisory Committee (DAC) for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) released recommendations for the 2010 dietary Guidelines for Americans. Unfortunately the guidelines put forth are disappointing to say the least.
I am amazed at how the science community has released a multitiude of research in support of low carb diets and NONE of it was considered as a means to help the segments of the public who need support and guidence while using a low carb diet.
I get requests all the time from people who are not New York locals who need guidance to follow a low carb diet and want to do it the healthy way.  Shame on you DAC! You have let these people down.
Here are a few links you may want to read if you want to understand how the DAC has failed us.
